Quibbling about prices

I did my usual catch up on reading the messageboards this weekend. It is important to keep up with what is going on. Who to add to my blacklist, and which escorts to avoid.

The common issue on the boards that I read, seems to be market prices. Either the prices are too high, or they are dropping.

Thank you to those of you who sent me information on what is happening outside London.

There seems to be a lot of anxiety around. We have several camps.

The what do you get for 1000 pounds per hour, that you cannot get for 150-200 per hour camp.

The best is cheapest camp.

The most expensive is best camp.

If you charge a certain rate, you belong to the wham bam market camp. However, some clients have found quality girls at cheap prices.

Then we have the you get what you pay for camp.

Finally, which surprised me, was the we have reached an all time low camp, and what will happen with the expected influx of escorts from Bulgaria and Romania.

What do I think about all this?

Well, I think that visiting an escort is a luxury, and the prices are reasonable for a luxury product. I also believe that a higher price does not guarantee a quality experience, and lots of reviews give evidence of this. I believe that there are lots of quality providers at every level of the industry. My view on the women who charge 5000 pounds plus for their time, is if they can get it, take it.

I have no fears about escorts coming in from Bulgaria and Romania. I believe there is room for everyone.Different people like different things.

For the US view on this, Glengarry always has something interesting to say.

What is all the fuss about?

It is only money after all, right?

Have a good week!

The market value of anything:

What people are wiling to pay for it.

GGl,

You are so right, those that can will.

I was listening to a radio programme the other day where they briefly discussed the supply/demand economic theories in general.

There is a traditionl view that in a market prices are driven down by competition. However this does not take quality into account.

Another view then arises that the more you pay the better quality you get. I'm sure many of us having paid a lot of money for something and then been disappointed know that this is not always the case.

The middle view is that more sophisticated customers in a market are looking for value for money.

Clients of escorts are looking for different things. It seems at the moment that the most beautiful escorts can command the highest prices. The level of service then also seems to come in - eg do they provide kissing, anal, owo, cim, etc.

There are many of us clients though who go for the quality rather than the quantity of services and are not totally taken in by the packaging and can get very good value for money.

However, although on my blog I may be seen jestingly to objectify women, I do find the kind of discussion I have engaged in here and have read elsewhere to be somewhat distasteful in the way that it turns women and intimate relationships with them into an economic commodity.

In which case I'd better give up punting!!!! LOL

B xx

We had a bit of an argument over on the ASPD board, and this is what I said about prices. Hope you do not mind me quoting myself!

Here is the reason my rates are higher than the industry standard:

I charge what I do because I can.

Here is my question for the no-piece-of-ass-is-worth-that-much crowd:

If you were in my shoes, would you want to receive the highest possible fee that your clients were willing to pay? Are you honestly telling me that if you were a young, hot, smart, business and internet savvy escort, you would charge less than what folks would pay? If so, that would not make you a smart entrepreneur, now would it?

There are plenty of professions where participants choose to market their product at a reasonable price in order to satisfy a desire to be charitable, or to appeal to a wider market. I am not running a charity, nor do I wish to attract many clients. So, I ask again, what possible motive could I have to place my rates at less than what the market will support?

Smiles,
Alice
ps: I will add you to my site at next update!

Beau,

I think it is difficult to have these sorts of discussions without objectifying women.

Alice,

Thank you for your comments. I agree with you, you decide what works for you. Noone should pressure you, into charging less.
